Programme for the Kerala Bicycle Tour Package Day 01 Arrive Cochin Meeting & Greeting on arrival at Cochin airport and transfer by car to Hotel Rest of the afternoon free to re-fit & ready your cycles
Day 02 Kochi-Thattekkad (57 kms) Today we will start our Bicycling tour in Kerala: After breakfast we start cycling towards the foothills of the Western Ghats, the lowland forests of Thattekkad. We cycle through the scenic countryside of temples, churches, schools, small towns/villages/canal, paddy fields, rubber plantations. (Total distance is 57 kms and cycling possible on entire route. Easy to moderate minor village/small town roads with occasional hikes)
Day 03 Thattekkad-Munnar (72 kms) After breakfast start cycle ride to Munnar Today is a day of climbing to the heights at Munnar at over 1600 meters. We will pass through Cocoa , Cashew, teakwood, Mango, pepper & coconut plantations. (Total distance is 72 kms and cycling possible on the entire route – last few kms are very steep. Hill/mountain roads with challenging hikes along with gain in altitude)
Day 04 Munnar (55 kms cycling) Today we will take cycling towards Kundala Dam through Swiss dairy farm, Madupetty – full of tea estate gardens/beautiful views around. (From hotel to hotel cycling-55 kms)
Day 05 Munnar-Vandanmedu – 70 kms After breakfast start cycle ride to Vandanmedu (Total distance is 70 kms and cycling possible on the entire route. Hill/mountain roads with challenging hikes)
Day 06 Vandanmedu-Vagamon – 52 kms After breakfast start cycle ride to Vagamon (Total distance is 52 kms and cycling possible on the entire route. Hill/mountain roads)
Day 07 Vagamon-Thodupuzha - 58 kms cycling After the breakfast we start ride to Thodupuzha. Total distance is 58 kms and cycling is possible on the entire route. Begin with mountain roads – most of it downhill, then towards the end, cycling on small town/village roads – you can watch beautiful bare mountains with grass, spice plantations, forests, tiny rural hamlets, paddy fields.
Day 08 Thodupuzha-Pala (50 kms cycling) After the breakfast we start ride to Pala. Total distance is 50 kms and cycling is possible on the entire route. Cycling through small town roads/village roads. You can also see rubber plantations.
Day 09 Pala – Kumarakom (60 kms cycling) After breakfast start your ride to Kumarakom – the gateway to the backwaters. (village/small town roads). Afternoon backwater cruise by a country boat
Day 10 Kumarakom-Marari Beach (cycling via Alleppey for 60 kms) After breakfast start your cycling to Marari Beach via Alleppey. (village/small town flat roads).
Day 11 Marari-Fort Kochi (45 kms cycling) After breakfast start ride to Fort Kochi. Total distance is 45 kms and cycling possible on the entire route. This is a flat tarmac road, most of the cycling on the village/coastal area, visiting fisherman’s villages. Afternoon visit around Fort Cochin + last moment shopping.
Day 12 Kochi-Departure Departure transfer to Kochi airport to board your onward flight. End of your Biking in Kerala. |

Bike Hire & other items |
We provide Hybrid Cycle free in the tour or you can bring your own cycle. Saddle and helmet are also provided free. But if you wish to bring your own helmet/ saddle/pedal to fit into your personal style, you can bring the same. If you wish you can also bring your own cycle/bike.

Support |
Supporting vehicle & driver will follow the riders throughout the Kerala Cycle trip for all kind of assistance & route direction and take care of the day to day bike maintenance.
The vehicle will carry your luggage too. Bottled water & fruits will be provided en-route.

Cycling is possible as per the distance mentioned each day in the programme. But you can choose the distance for the daily cycling as per your cycling ability.
